Hi, I can’t seem to figure out how to cause the timer to pause and resume without resetting the timer to the original time. I often will pause temporarily during an exercise and want to start where I left off. It would be nice if countdown timer were larger in size, to make it easier to see. I also agree with request to allow the app to go into landscape on an iPhone.

With the integrated timer this utility is really multi-useful! I like using it to time by bpm chord changes. I use Justin’s chord change app too, but this is great for on the fly and allows me to control the parameters: BPM and time. Also am planning on using the trainer for scales.

This app is innovative and awesome! I love all the different choices. Everything you need to improve your rhythm and timing to perfection. Whoever developed this was a genius!

I've been a huge fan of Justin guitar for a long time now, I bought this app to help support him but also it's genuinely a good app I used to have to have a metronome and a timer separately for my practice sessions but with the built in timer it's all there, really nice stuff!

This metronome is so practical. You can change the number of measures with it silent so you get immediate feedback at various levels of keeping spot on time.

Easy to setup and use. Easy to read interface. Love the sound options for primary and secondary beats.

Constant bugs, shutting down constantly on iPhone 7. Speed trainer can’t be paused.

My favorite app. Wonderful for its feature of dropping out one or more measures. Really tests and develops your sense of time. I'm a drummer, so that's all important. I love the new interface, so easy. Just wish the start/stop button was Much larger. Otherwise it's great.

I’ve been using this app for a LONG time. Like, long enough that I have lost track. And I love the idea. But man, this design refurb is really annoying... Still, get the app. But be prepared for a super clumsy and unattractive interface. I really wish I could have the old version back.

I’m very disappointed in the new version of this app. This new version is not able to appear in landscape form on my IPad...that is the way I use it on the piano.... But I was willing to live with that slight inconvenience.... The deal breaker for me is the loss of the “tap” feature in the old version: I used that feature all the time with my students to check their tempos while they play..... I hope you add this back into this app soon... in the meantime I’ll be looking for an app that does this... :(

The old one was so simple I loved the classic look. And the click. Now it is digital yuck.

I had been running a metronome and a timer separately for doing exercises - very cumbersome. This puts the two into one, huge help. The gradual tempo increase feature is also very cool.

I use this daily. Works great and always reliable. This is a fantastic companion app if you are a Justin online student like millions of us OR It also does the job if you need a comprehensive metronome.

It's a lot better than the other metronomes in the store. It actually helps you with timing using muted bars and much more, the layout is sleek and fast. I would definitely recommend for a musician that is trying to get their timing chops up!

The main reason I purchased it was for speed up function. Brilliant idea! I only wish there was a way to set the step by measures instead of amount of time. Once you get locked into a phrase even one bpm raised mid phrase throws you off and doesn't do much for keeping time. Just a thought. Otherwise it's a great very intuitive app!

Metronome on steroids! I use the speed up feature all the time. Set it for a slow speed to start and an faster speed to end and it will SLOWLY quicken the tempo to your target speed. Worth the $ for that alone!

This app was clearly designed by someone who understands and uses metronomes for actual music training/instruction. Pop it open and it’s easy to use the metronome right away. Even the advanced features were a snap to figure out. Plus it’s rock solid and “just works” they way you’d like every app to be. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this pleased with the value I got for a paid app.

This is a fantastic app. I'm a 51 year old pianist and I've worked with metronomes all my life, and this is the first that gradually increases tempo over a period of time. It's really revolutionized my practicing, and has really helped me improve difficult passages.

This is a terrific metronome app. I have several others, including a paid app. This one is much better for learning. I love the ability to set the app up to stop the metronome after XX minutes. This lets me focus on what I'm doing, and not worry about setting a separate timer. The ability to drop beats to see if you are staying on rhythm is nice too. Some things I'd like to see added: The app needs to rotate with the IPhone. I can't read the screen when I have the phone plugged in to power or an amp. It would also be nice to be able to set the coundown timer from the main metronome screen. I do that quite a bit, and it takes 3 screens to do it.

I got this app for the bar drop feature. You start off easy with three bars of metronome clicks followed by a bar of silence. Gradually I worked up to one bar of clicks and three bars of silence. My internal clock has improved greatly. And it's an easy way to support Justin and all his free content!

Not worth the money. No accent on the beats. There are much better metronomes out there.

Everyone who is playing an instrument and wants better timing should buy this app immediately. It is not only a conventional metronome that simple. It includes several very helpful training modes. Those training modes could definitely improve your timing. No other metronome has those features. Thanks the dev to developing this brilliant app.

This is the BEST metronome app available...except when Apple comes out with a new iOS and then it takes forever to be updated. The best features don't currently work with iOS 8. Had the same problem with iOS 7 until they eventually updated their app. Please update now!

This used to be my favorite metronome app to use with my students. But it won't work with IOS8. Big disappointment.

Can't adjust duration- app hangs with iOS 8 on iPhone 6 plus. Please update! This was a great app!

Love the app but you can't program it after updating to ios 8. :( Hoping for a fix soon.

Pretty good app. I especially like the "speed upper" for working on licks, increasing the tempo s you go. Only drawback in my opinion is the sounds could be better, as in Guitar Toolkit's metronome function. Maybe some drum sounds or even drum loops. Now that would be awesome. Love your website Justin.

Training mode doesn't work, the instructions say to hold down the button, but that doesn't turn it on. A user posted to the forum last year with the same issue with no reply.

I mean...yeah. It's a good app. But I bought it thinking it had a feature that I desperately want, for which I coughed up the money to buy this app. The perfect metronome for me would be one with a feature where I could program a starting and finished beat, and then program it to increase after, say, two measure. And the increase would also be programmed. That would save a butt load of time on violin vibrato practice if I didn't have to stop playing to increase the tempo two beats every time I finished the one or two measure long exercise. This app has a feature like it, but it's not quite the same. I use it the randomly increasing tempo feature. But man was it a disappointment.

I think this is my favorite metronome app. The coolest thing is that not only is is accurate when you tap but it also allows you to put an emphasis on a particular beat when you tap. The big light is good too.

This is probably the best app I've ever purchased. As a drummer, there are SO many uses for this app. I use it everyday and it has transformed my practice time. It has developed my internal metronome and helped me with my heavy reliance on the click to have good timing. I highly recommend this if you are looking for ways to push yourself musically!

Great app with all the functionality I am looking for when practicing my guitar with a metronome. I especially like the training options and that the app comes complete without having to pay for in-app purchases.

This was my goto app for guitar practice, but parts of 'training mode' we're broken in iOS7. Although I haven't tested the entire feature set, looks like it's been fixed.

Just updated to iOS 7, and now Time Trainer does not work. A great app, but now useless. Please fix soon!!!
